Overview of the current VP MicroLab applications.
Product Overview
VP MicroLab ® is our commercially available low cost multi-disciplinary and user-friendly desktop virtual reality system. A various number of applications are and/or will become available in the near future based on the VP MicroLab®-concept. In MEDICAL this product will open new ways in 3D imaging and medical simulations. In PHARMA the product enables multi-disciplinary drug design and lead discovery, which brings the customer new drug design and patenting opportunities faster, more cost-effective and more reliable.
The Virtual Protein MicroLab will assist researchers in converting the chemical formulas of proteins to three-dimensional structures of such proteins. Once the three-dimensional structure of a protein is known, the search for drugs which interact with such protein in a specific manner, will be much easier than under the currently applied trial and error processes. The Virtual Protein MicroLab will provide researchers with sophisticated (inter alia virtual reality-) and low cost tools, which will enable them to search for such drugs in a highly efficient manner. This will significantly reduce the time and investments needed to develop new drugs.
